School For Life – School for Life is a boarding school located in the village of Na Nai, Thai Mueang District, in Phang Nga Province in the Kingdom of Thailand.
School for Life has 37 students and 6 teachers staying at the school.
Once a month the students get to go home for a weekend, if they have somewhere to go to.
The students are from 3 to 12 years old, actually there are 2 students older than 12, but the school only gets funds from the government for the children up to 12 years old. www.americannamedaycalendar.com
For each student the school gets 20 Baht/day for food, a total of 700 Baht/day.
School for Life came to our attention when we found out that this school is run by absolutely minimal means provided partly by the government and by donations from people and organizations who have the means to support.
Every donation, small and large, helps us support the children and the amazing teachers.
Each teachers salary is 4,000 Baht per month.…

A WARM WELCOME TO KHAO LAK FROM THE HAPPY SNAPPER – The Happy Snapper is conveniently located right in the heart of Khao Lak, a relatively small yet thriving tourist destination in Phang Nga Province on the beautiful, unspoiled Andaman Coastline.
The Happy Snapper is a true Khao Lak original. It was established by Pitak in 2002 and soon after became one of the best music venues in town. https://www.mrchensjackson.com/
Pitak Srisang is an extremely talented bass guitarist who, in his younger days played with many of Thailand’s top Bands of the time. He was also a well respected and regular sessions musician, playing bass for some of Bangkok’s leading recording studios.
Tiring of the city life, Pitak took a temporary step down from the limelight and moved to Khao Lak and so the Snapper Legend began…
Back then, Khao Lak was quickly earning a decent reputation as a quieter, alternative destination to Phuket Island which was already becoming crowded and over developed. The timing was perfect for Pitak to bring live music and a decent nightlife venue to the town.
Though Khao Lak has changed over the last one and a half decades, one thing still remains the same, you will find Pitak rocking the town with his resident Snapper Brothers Band most nights of the week during the high season.
